Abstract

|
Successful implant therapy can no longer be judged by whether or not implants simply osseointegrate. The key to successful implant therapy in the esthetic region is a harmonious relationship between implant-supported restorations and remaining teeth. The natural appearance of implant restorations depends not only on the appropriate placement of implants, but also on the reconstruction of natural gingival architectures in harmony with the lip line and face. This article reviews previous studies related with soft tissue changes around implants after abutment connection surgery.
